Privacy Policy

AV Sober Social Club (“we,” “us”) runs avsobersocialclub.com. This page explains what we collect when you visit or use the site, why, and what your choices are. We don’t sell your information, to anyone, ever.

What we collect

Site analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location (city/region level), device and browser type, and on-site actions like browsing events, clicking a ticket link, or submitting a form. This only runs if you accept analytics in the banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is tied to your identity.

Newsletter signup. If you join our newsletter, we collect your email address and store it with our database provider (Supabase) so we can send you event updates. Emails are sent through our delivery provider (Resend). You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email at any time.

Event requests & contact.If you request an event or email us, we collect whatever you send us — typically an email address and your message — and use it only to respond. These messages go directly to our team’s inbox.

Event tickets.Ticketing for our events is handled by Eventbrite. Any information you give Eventbrite when you register or buy a ticket is covered by Eventbrite’s own privacy policy, not this one.

Cookies

Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure site usage. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies from third parties, and we don’t run retargeting ads.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Event request and contact messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for our own records, then deleted periodically.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies at any time from the cookie banner. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email we send. To ask what information we have about you, or to have it deleted or corrected, email us at avsobersocialclubevents@gmail.com— we’ll respond within a reasonable time. This applies to all visitors, including California residents under the CCPA.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the site work: Google (analytics), Supabase (database hosting), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), and Eventbrite (ticketing) — each under terms that limit them to providing that service to us, not using your information for their own marketing.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
